New York, USA
The US city hosts one of the best outdoor celebrations in the world, with everyone descending on Times Square. Around a million people get ready to cheer at midnight as the famous New Year's Eve Ball goes down the flagpole at One Times Square.

Sydney, Australia
You can see the New Year in with a bang, by seeing the most-watched firework display in the world at the Harbour. There are also party cruises so you can watch the overhead lights in style while sipping cocktails on board.

Edinburgh, Scotland

If it's one thing the Scots know how to do, it's seeing in the New Year with enthusiasm. Edinburgh has the biggest street party in Europe, and the celebrations don't just last one night.
