The first week back at work after New Year's is never fun, so to get you back into the swing of things here's a look at the top searches you've been making when you should have been working!

The hottest search of the week is,conversely, the new year's big freeze. This year's weather has got off to a freezing start with temperatures around the country dropping as low as minus 11C. So make sure you've got the best deal with your energy provider, and that you have plenty of winter knits to wrap up warm in.
Nearly as popular, the next top search of the week is Linda Lusardi. The ex-glamour model sparked outrage and ridicule after dialling 999 when she was stuck in traffic. The former Emmerdale actress was late for her panto role as Snow White's wicked queen and hoped the emergency services would let her beat the queues by driving up the hard shoulder!

The January sales are a popular search term especially since Asda has promised to slash prices on 1,000 products to help their customers. Asda's deals will include frozen goods, wine, meat and poultry, bakery items and even toiletries. The discounts may start a price war amongst other supermarket giants, which is good news for shoppers but not for the supermarkets who are feeling the pinch. The credit crunch has even begun to affect Marks and Spencer. The company planned to axe over 1,000 jobs in its stores and head office but has since been warned that it could face a backlash of employment tribunal cases.
In light of the economic downturn, many people are searching for a low-risk investment option such as premium bonds. They protect your cash and there's a possibility of winning big! If you decide to invest, be sure to shop around first - a top savings account or ISA may be a good alternative.

The cold weather and lack of cash has everyone turning to their tellies for entertainment. Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother returned to our screens last weekend and the tension is already mounting. Terry Christian, as head of the house, voted that Ulrika Jonsson has the biggest ego and Lucy Pinder is the most useless celebrity.
Since Strictly Come Dancing has finished, instead we can look forward to a new series of Dancing on Ice which begins this weekend on ITV. The contestants include ex-EastEnder Todd Carty, Holby City's Jeremy Edwards and the 2008 contestant who had to pull out due to injury, Michael Underwood, amongst others.
Finally after much earnest speculation, the 11th Doctor Who has been named and you will see him in action in 2010. Matt Smith, a 26-year-old theatrical actor, is a controversial choice for some due to his tender years. Current doctor David Tennant will film four specials to air in 2009.

And of course, many top searches this week have been for getting healthy and into shape. No doubt millions of resolutions to get fit have been made this year and a good place to start is by joining a gym. Other ways to fight the flab are by starting a diet such as the All-New Atkins Advantage diet or by flushing out the old year with a detox diet. Get support by joining AOL diets with WeightWatchers.
