Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts has shared his personal tree-hugging passion on the jungle competition show I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!
Martin, 53, described the activity as "calming and peaceful", and suggested it would benefit fellow camper and Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas.
Adam, who was forced to face his serious fear of spiders on Monday's Bushtucker Trial, was voted to take on the dreaded challenge for a second time on Tuesday's show.
"I need to find a mature tree, a good size so I could give it a good hug, luckily the one they've built the garden around is one of the biggest in the jungle," Martin said.
"When I'm hugging a tree I think all kinds of positive thoughts and go into a bit of a trance.
"I gave the tree a quick introductory hug just to make sure that we could be friends and it gave me back positive vibes.
"It's calming and peaceful. I decided I had to get Adam to hug a tree."
Adam struggled to get into the spirit of the idea as Martin called him over to join him.
After initially thinking he was going to get told off for slacking on his jungle chores, he said: "This is the most bizarre conversation I've had in my life.
"Imagine me out walking the dog and seeing the man from Homes Under The Hammer hugging a tree, I'd think 'what's going on here?'."
After having a go at embracing a tree, for several seconds with his eyes closed, he said: "I didn't feel anything Martin, it felt like hugging a tree, I didn't get any life-changing experience from it.
"It was weird, I won't do it again."
:: I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! returns at 9pm on Wednesday on ITV.
