Updated:

Dollar star David Van Day has reassured fans he is on the mend after a heart attack.

The former Buck's Fizz singer said he is recovering in hospital in London after the scare.

He praised staff at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex, and St Bartholomew's in London, where he is reportedly in a stable condition.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here contestant, 59, shot to fame as one half of the 1980s band Dollar and gained new fans when he became a reality star.

David's wife Sue told The Sun she blames his health scare on his unhealthy lifestyle and added she was stunned this happened so soon after the death of Dead Or Alive singer Pete Burns.
