There's a petition for Quentin Tarantino to direct the Deadpool sequel

Updated:

Deadpool was undoubtedly one of 2016´s most successful films, not just commercially but critically. But with the film's director Tim Miller not on board for the sequel due to alleged "creative differences", some fans think they know the perfect replacement.

Quentin Tarantino.

Arguing we got a slight taste of what a Tarantino comic book/superhero movie would be like with Kill Bill, the petition's creator states Tarantino's killer dialogue, genre jumping and penchant for longer films would all help create an incredible Deadpool 2.

And while it could be fixing something that isn't broken, the prospect of a Tarantino Deadpool is pretty mouth-watering...

"Tarantino makes ultra-violent movies where you love the characters, with horrible language, sexy women, and a villain you will NEVER forget. Tell me Marvel doesn't need another one of those," the petition says.

Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, was also slated as a perfect fit for the cult director.

"Quentin Tarantino is the master of writing dialogue, and Ryan Reynolds is a master of delivering dialogue... I do believe that if Reynolds and Tarantino sat down and discussed their ideas for this sequel, they would love what each other had to say."
