Get a taste of stardom and star in The X Factor ad breaks!

TalkTalk's new app, FX Star, allows you to create your own video and become a star on national TV.

X Factor fans can overlay animated filters on their own videos as they sing along to top pop tunes.

How to star in the TalkTalk X Factor ad breaks

1. Download the FX Star app from the Apple App Store or Google Play
2. Select a filter
3. Select a track
4. Use your device's camera to film yourself lip syncing along to the track
5. Submit your video for the chance to feature on TV
6. Share your video through social media

What filters are there?

There's a range of weird and wonderful filters to choose from: You can turn yourself into a cartoon-style superhero with the Comic Book filter or even go to a party with our Party Paint filter. There's loads of options to let you express yourself - if you're feeling fruity there's the Apple Head filter where the singer's face is transformed into a larger than life big apple, complete with dancing worm!

What songs can I sing?

There's also huge array of hit singles to sing along too - from Zara Larsson's top three hit 'Lush Life,' Sigala's 'Give Me Your Love', and Birdy's 'Wild Horses'.

The best videos will be hand-picked to feature in The X Factor ad breaks on Saturday and Sunday nights from 27th August, and new filters and tracks will be added to FX Star throughout the series of The X Factor.

"The TalkTalk X Factor ad breaks have become so iconic to the point where they're almost synonymous with the show," said TalkTalk's David Parslow. "Over the years we've helped hundreds of fans appear on TV, given away thousands of money-can't-buy prizes and delighted thousands of TalkTalk customers with tickets to the show – giving fans the chance to see their favourite acts, judges and presenters live in action."

FX Star is available to download via the Apple App Store and Google Play now.
