Rolling Stones fans anything but blue about new album

Rolling Stones fans are rejoicing at the news that the veteran band will be releasing a new album for the first time in 11 years.

The group announced that they would be releasing a record of blues covers called Blue & Lonesome, which they recorded in just three days, and teased the news on their Twitter account.

Eric Clapton also makes a guest appearance on two of the tracks as he just happened to be in the studio next door working on his own album when they were at British Grove Studios in west London in December last year.

Music lovers were very happy to hear that the Stones had been back in the recording studio.

It was such big news that there was even a Twitter emoji created in its honour.

If you need reminding just how long the band have been superstars for, this picture sums it up nicely.

Songs on the new album include Just Your Fool, Commit A Crime, Blue And Lonesome, All Of Your Love, I Gotta Go, Everybody Knows About My Good Thing, Ride 'Em On Down, Hate To See You Go, Hoo Doo Blues, Little Rain, Just Like I Treat You and I Can't Quit You Baby.

Blue & Lonesome will be released on December 2 and is available for pre-order from today.
