Emily Blunt steals the show in a kaleidoscope dress at world premiere of The Girl On The Train

Emily Blunt was a kaleidoscope of colour as she hit the red carpet in London for the world premiere of her new movie The Girl On The Train.

The 33-year-old actress wore a floor-length gown that was bursting with colour, with ornate floral detailing in purple, green, blue, pink and a splash of red.

Like a weed growing from between the tracks - but much more pretty - Emily posed next to her co-star Luke Evans on the carpet, which had been designed to look like a railway track as a nod to the film's title.

Joining them on the red carpet were novelist Paula Hawkins and director Tate Taylor, who relaxed with the cast for a selfie.

Paula's best-selling psychological thriller novel revolves around a moment glimpsed from a daily commuter train to Euston. Last year it was revealed that the big-screen adaptation would transfer the action to Westchester, New York - but the stars hit London for the world premiere on Tuesday.

British-American actress Emily stars as recent divorcee Rachel Watson, who is infatuated by the seemingly perfect couple she sees daily through her train window. But one day she sees something shocking - and everything changes as Rachel finds herself involved in the disappearance of the young woman, Megan Hipwell (Haley).
