Marnie Simpson upset at reaction to breast-flashing incident on CBB

Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson said she is upset at being called a bully after she exposed her breasts to Loose Women's Saira Khan during Celebrity Big Brother.

Marnie, 24, flashed Khan, 46, in front of her fellow housemates, boasting that she had a better chest than her.

Talking on This Morning, the reality star said she was upset at the public's reaction as she had meant it as a joke.

She said: "When I came out, I was really upset because I'd seen people had said I was a bully, which is completely not true, that's the last thing I wanted to do was offend anyone.

"It was just supposed to be a harmless joke to lighten the mood because there was a lot of tension in there."

This Morning host Ruth Langsford pressed her on the incident, asking if she thought her behaviour was "inappropriate" or if she had "had too much to drink".

Marnie explained: "Maybe I'd had a little bit too much to drink but that type of stuff is really acceptable on Geordie Shore, so when I'm drunk I just assumed it would be there... but it clearly wasn't."

The breast-flashing incident, which saw Simpson gyrating her chest in front of Khan's face, resulted in 79 complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom.

Saira was the second celebrity evicted from the Channel 5 show, while Marnie ended in fourth place.

Following her eviction, Saira commented on the incident, telling the Loose Women panel: "This young girl puts her boobs in my face.

"At that point I just looked at her and thought, 'I feel really sorry for you, that you feel you have to use your body as a weapon, that you have such low self esteem'.

"In her world that's acceptable behaviour and that's what shocked me."

She added: "When I went into the house, the first question she asked me was, 'who are you going to sleep with in the house?'"

During her time in the house, Marnie became romantically involved with The Only Way Is Essex star Lewis Bloor, but the relationship was slammed by many as being "staged".

Marnie dismissed reports it had been a "showmance", saying: "Before I went in I thought I'm not going to be in anything too serious with someone in there because then I'm at a disadvantage, so that was not what I was planning on doing.

"And I just think, what's so wrong about a young boy and young girl liking each other, why does everyone think it's got to be fake?"
