Opportunity knocks for David Suchet, who will open the door to a new role in Doctor Who.
The Poirot star hung up his sleuthing hat in 2013 on his 25-year alias as Agatha Christie's detective, but now he is set to hit our screens again with a one-off part in the Time Lord's latest adventures.
David will play a character called the Landlord and in a first look at the episode he stars in, he has shrugged off his trademark pristine Hercule Poirot look for a rather baggy brown suit, holding the set of keys to an ancient-looking wooden door.
Viewers will be able to see his episode, written by Mike Bartlett, when series 10 of the BBC show, currently filming, airs in 2017.
Peter Capaldi will return as the Doctor and Pearl Mackie was recently announced as his new companion, Bill.
