'My blood is legit boiling' - Dwayne Johnson slams his male Fast & Furious 8 co-stars

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has hit out at his male co-stars from forthcoming film Fast & Furious 8.

The actor posted a long rant on his Instagram page along with a clip of himself from the movie, the latest in the popular action franchise.

In the comment, he revealed he was glad it was the final week of shooting the film, while also taking aim at his male colleagues, whom he dubbed "candy asses".

He did not name anybody in particular, but his male co-stars include Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russell and Scott Eastwood.

The post also saw him praise his female co-stars - including Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Elsa Pataky and Jordana Brewster - as "amazing".

His rant began: "This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em."

He went on to add: "My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s*** to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.

"When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right."

His angry tirade, which has been viewed more than three million times on the social networking site, finished with him explaining that his genuine rage on-set will "play great for the movie" and added that it fits his character, Luke Hobbs, and "that's embedded" in his DNA.

"The producer in me is happy about this part," he added, with a smiley face emoji. "Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses."

Dwayne's co-stars do not appear to have commented on his impassioned rant as yet.

The latest film in the franchise is set for release in April 2017.
