Adele could be following in the footsteps of Prince, Beyonce and Michael Jackson by singing at next year's Super Bowl.
According to The Sun, the Hello singer - who recently wowed Glastonbury - has been approached for the half-time show, which is watched by around 160 million worldwide.
An NFL source was quoted as saying: "There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now.
"Organisers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up."
But the source said that "Adele's nerves are the issue" and "it hasn't been an easy sell".
Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars featured at this year's half-time show in San Francisco.
