Trouble seems to be brewing on the Cornish coast in the first teaser trailer for series two of Poldark, which returns in September.
Ross Poldark, played by Irish actor Aidan Turner, will be fighting for his freedom when the series returns as he is shown being led away in chains by soldiers on a gloomy clifftop and later behind bars.
"I've fought for our liberty, for our hopes, for our dreams and I'll keep on fighting, whatever the cost," Poldark says in the action-packed trailer.
Elsewhere in the trailer can be seen gunshots, tarot cards, a crying Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) and some sex scenes.
His first love Elizabeth, played by Heida Reed, also makes an appearance - and she will have a romance with Poldark in the new series, after bosses decided to remove a storyline from the novels where he rapes his ex.
At the end of the last series, Poldark was arrested for murder when a ship wrecked off the coast of his land.
The BBC confirmed that the new series would begin on September 4 on BBC One, so fans have just a month to wait for the return of the brooding hero.
