A contestant on America's Got Talent caused shock across the nation - and along the judging table - as he was hit with a flaming arrow on Tuesday night's show - and it wasn't part of the act.
The live TV blunder saw stunt performer Ryan Stock accidentally hit in the neck as his assistant AmberLynn Walker attempted to shoot the fiery arrow at a target in his mouth.
He was first seen feeding a pole with the target down into his throat, before bending forward as his long-term girlfriend and professional partner Amber took aim from the top of a stepladder with a crossbow.
Instead of hitting its target, the arrow flew straight into the stunned performer's throat, causing him to recoil in horror and pain.
AGT judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel were left shocked and concerned as Ryan reacted to the mishap, which was filmed in front of a live studio audience.
The Canadian performer later took to Twitter to let his fans know he was fine.
He also retweeted a message from another AGT act.
Head judge Simon has previously dubbed the daring gent a "human horror movie" and has also made jokes about something going seriously wrong with him on stage.
Of course, Twitter went wild with shock and awe following the dramatic on-stage incident, a rare disaster on America's Got Talent, which is in its 11th season.
The judges were just as surprised, with Heidi and Mel sharing their astonishment.
