Jeremy Irons fans take note: The actor will discuss his prolific career at Bafta's A Life In Pictures


Jeremy Irons will take a look back at his prolific career at a special Bafta event.

The Brideshead Revisited and Reversal Of Fortune actor is set to take part in the British Academy of Film and Television Arts' career retrospective A Life In Pictures: Jeremy Irons.

Oscar-winner Jeremy will follow in the footsteps of stars including Kenneth Branagh, Cate Blanchett, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Sam Mendes, Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman, Vanessa Redgrave, Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet, who have all taken part in the A Life In Pictures series.

The 67-year-old actor, who has twice been nominated for a Bafta, has an extensive career across TV, film and stage.

After starting off in the theatre, he became a household name in the 1980s with a major role in The French Lieutenant's Woman and the lead in a TV adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited.

His most recent films include 2015´s High-Rise, 2016´s Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and upcoming video game-based movie Assassin's Creed.

The evening, held in partnership with Audi, will take place on Friday September 9 at Bafta headquarters in London's Piccadilly.
