I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here Now! host Joe Swash revealed that ITV bosses added a clause into his contract that he must wear underpants on the show after viewer complaints.
Appearing on Loose Women alongside his girlfriend, Stacey Solomon, the 34-year-old presenter admitted to never taking any with him when he films the spin-off in the hot Australian jungle because "it's like putting a polo neck on".
He revealed: "I used to always got out to do I'm A Celebrity, the spin-off show, with no pants, until ITV sort of put it in my contract because they were getting so many complaints because I've got no hips either so it was builders' bum on show the whole time. One year they had to buy me loads of pants.
"Every year they phone up my agent and are like 'Does Joe want to go back to Australia?', 'Yeah, yeah, that'll be lovely', 'Make sure he packs his pants!'"
Making their TV debut as a couple, Joe and Stacey spilled plenty of secrets on their underwear habits.
Joe said he had gone through a "mid-life crisis where I've gone from boxer shorts to Y-fronts".
His girlfriend teased that they reminded her of second son Leighton's underwear. "It's like our four-year-olds pants, like tiny little boy's pants," she said.
Shown a pair of "mengerie" - lingerie for men - by the Loose Women panel, he joked he wished Stacey had something as lacy rather than her "comfy" choices.
"Some of them are past her belly-button! I think she had two or three good pairs she rotated for the first couple of weeks and now I never see them," he said.
Joe confirmed that the pair have talked about marriage and would like babies together.
"It makes me sweat when she talks about babies but definitely babies, that's a good idea."
He said it made no difference that Stacey already had two sons from two previous relationships.
"Course not, I've got a child who's nine with someone else. As long as you have that child when you're in love for the right reason, have as many as you want," Joe said.
Viewers praised the cheeky couple's honesty and sweet relationship.
There were calls for a Stacey and Joe talk show or Joe to become a Loose Women regular.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
