Katie Price revealed she had been warned about a potential kidnap plot by police after an electronic tracking device was found attached to her car.
The reality TV star, 38, explained during an appearance on ITV's Loose Women on Thursday that she was recently alerted to a scheme to take her eldest son Harvey for a ransom of £1 million, and that it wasn't the first time it had happened.
The mother-of-five first discussed a previous plot to take her son, saying that police had "intelligence" and that her children had to be carefully monitored.
She said: "It was really serious to the point that the kids had to be followed to school because these people were going to follow me stop the car and take Harvey for a £1 million ransom."
She said the thugs would have staged a road accident in order to get her to stop her car, and then kidnap her son, who is autistic, partially blind and has Prader-Willi syndrome.
The most recent scheme came to light after her car was going through a routine service, during which the tracker was discovered.
"This wasn't that long ago, my car went to be serviced. My mum got a call from the police after a mechanic had found a tracking device hidden on it. The police had to keep my car afterwards for inspection," she said.
She said she takes steps to preserving the safety of her and her children - Harvey, 14, Junior, 11, Princess, nine, Jett, two and one-year-old Bunny - but that she is still worried about something happening.
"The thing is, if they're going to get you then they're going to get you," she said.
"You can buy all the security you want. I've got panic buttons and everything like that. But if something did happen, by the time the police would be able to get to my house, they would have already got me."
Katie is married to Kieran Hayler, with whom she has her youngest two children. Her middle children, son Junior and daughter Princess are from her previous marriage to singer Peter Andre, and Harvey's father is former footballer Dwight Yorke.
