Watch The Joker as 'psychotic' villain in new Suicide Squad trailer

He's arguably the most recognised comic book villain in one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year.

So it's no surprise the makers of Suicide Squad are eager to show off more footage of Jared Leto as The Joker ahead of the film's release.

A new teaser trailer focusing on Batman's arch nemesis has been released during Comic Con International in San Diego.

The clip features The Joker being described as a "psychotic, anti-social freak", before he is shown lying on the floor surrounded by dozens of guns, knives and, bizarrely, baby outfits.

The new trailer came as Skrillex and Rick Ross unveiled their contribution to Suicide Squad's soundtrack.

Purple Lamborghini was played for the first time on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show and Skrillex confirmed the accompanying music video will feature Jared as the Joker.

Suicide Squad starring Jared, Will Smith and Margot Robbie will feature during Warner Bros presentation at Comic Con on Saturday. The film is released in UK cinemas on August 5.
