Ryan Ruckledge stunned at being evicted from Big Brother before Jason Burrill

Ryan Ruckledge, Big Brother's latest evicted contestant, could not believe he had been evicted and apparently thought it was a mistake.

The former participant of ITV talent show The X Factor told Digital Spy he thought the phone lines had been mixed up.

Ryan expressed surprise that he was out while fellow housemate Jason Burrill is still a resident of the famous Elstree house.

Jason's standing among his fellow contestants has taken a nosedive since he selected Lateysha Grace for eviction on Wednesday.

He even questioned whether Jason's ex-girlfriend Charlie Doherty, who was evicted on July 8, was voting for him.

Ryan said: "When Jason got called out as being saved and I didn't, I thought, 'Surely there's got to be a glitch in the phone line system?' That's not normal. Who's voting for him? Is Charlie voting for him or something?"

On Friday, the remaining housemates were forced to choose the next evictee when Ryan, Laura Carter and Sam Giffen received the fewest votes from the public.

Ryan lost out and faced the baying crowd wearing a bin bag.

Big Brother presenter Emma Willis asked Ryan about his relationship with Hughie Maughan. The two men have kissed on camera and they even shared a bed together.

Talking about Hughie, Ryan said: "He is an amazing person and I can't wait to meet him on the outside world. I do actually like him and do want to go on dates with him. I don't know what will happen. He'd best win!"

Celebrity Big Brother's logo has been released ahead of the reality series' launch on Channel 5 at the end of the month. The new gold logo is similar in design to the one which accompanies the present run of Big Brother.

The broadcaster has confirmed that the current series will end on July 26, with the celebrity incarnation kicking off two days later with a live two-hour launch show hosted by Emma Willis.

The identities of the housemates are top secret, but show bosses have promised "egos, drama, tantrums and diva strops".

As ever, Rylan Clark-Neal will host sister show Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side on week nights.
