Ed Sheeran has reportedly been furiously penning his new album on a last-minute trip aboard a cruise ship.
The Thinking Out Loud singer is on a break from social media as he takes time off to travel the world and prepare his third album, which he has already said "is the best thing I have made thus far".
He is said to have taken a trip on board the Queen Mary 2 liner across the Atlantic last week with his producer friend Benny Blanco.
A source told The Sun: "Ed turned up at the dock in New York and asked for a cheap cabin, nothing fussy.
"While aboard he requested a meeting room so they found him a basic, windowless crew room in the bowels of the ship. He spent the entire week locked away, writing."
Benny shared a photo of himself and Ed recreating Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio's famous Titanic pose on the ship.
Ed's last-minute decision to board the liner apparently meant he didn't have any fancy enough clothing with him to get into the posher areas of the ship.
The source added: "He was pretty much confined to two informal areas but was very laid back, happy and chatting to everyone."
It seems it's plain sailing for Ed's third offering.
