Luther star Idris Elba has just been nominated for a big Hollywood award but he plans to celebrate at a London pub.
The Hackney-born actor, 43, said he would toast his Emmy nod, adding that it was a "good feeling" to be nominated for the BBC One drama.
He will compete against Tom Hiddleston, who has been nominated for The Night Manager, and Benedict Cumberbatch, nominated for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, in the lead actor in a limited series or movie category.
Speaking at a photocall for his new film Star Trek Beyond in London on Thursday, he said he had "found out literally as I just walked in".
He continued: "It's lovely. I wasn't expecting that."
Discovering he would be taking on his fellow Brits, the shocked Londoner said, " Really? That's good.
"It's good for British actors at the minute."
The actor added that he would "definitely" be celebrating.
"I'm not sure what, probably go to a pub," came his understated reply.
It is his fourth Emmy nomination for Luther, but he is yet to win.
