Stars turned out for the 'magical' wedding of TV presenter Tania Bryer and Rod Barker

Television presenter Tania Bryer has spoken with warmth about her wedding, describing it as "the most magical day".

The former weather girl married hedge fund manager Rod Barker in the countryside home of her mother.

Tania wore a silk column gown by Amanda Wakeley for the ceremony attended by Sarah, the Duchess of York, Elizabeth Hurley, Donna Air, Trinny Woodall, Kelly Hoppen and Lisa Snowdon.

"It was the most magical day, full of warmth and love," Tania told Hello! magazine. "Our friends have been amazing. They made us feel so special. We will never forget it."

Elizabeth Hurley, who attended the wedding with her son Damian, told Hello! how happy she was to see her friend's joy.

"Tania is one of my favourite people and I couldn't be happier for her," she said.

"Rod is a very special man and I'm so glad that they are married. Their wedding was beautiful and touching and it was such a pleasure to be a part of it. Tania looked beautiful and Rod looked like the happiest man on earth."

Tania's husband Rod, 51, talked about how he felt as he saw his bride for the first time.

He said: "The most special moment for me was when Tania appeared at the top of the aisle. She is a beautiful woman anyway, but to see her in that dress - it was such a magical sight. When she walked down the aisle, I really felt I was the luckiest guy in the world."

Tania told Hello! how she and Rod now describe their blended family as 'The Brady Bunch' - they each have three children from previous marriages.

It was the children who encouraged the couple to first move in together five years into the relationship and they gave moving speeches on the wedding day.

Tania said: "The girls said the most incredible things about us. We were taken aback by the emotion and genuine love they have for us and for each other. We were overwhelmed."
