Big Brother 2016: It's Annihilation week as the housemates decide who stays and who goes

Big Brother is putting friendships to the ultimate test and forcing the housemates to make some very difficult decisions for 'Annihilation week'.

"It's going to be brutal," show bosses have promised viewers of the Channel 5 reality show.

Throughout this week, shock evictions will take place resulting in a housemate leaving the Big Brother house every night.

Big Brother told the shocked contestants that they would be deciding who stays and who goes.

"This is Big Brother. Housemates, Big Brother has some important news. Your time in the Big brother house is about to change forever. Today, an unprecedented annihilation begins that places each and every one of you at risk of eviction."

Big Brother continued: "Housemate numbers will be decimated, but there are no public votes. Who survives is down to you. Over the coming days, Big Brother will set a number of tasks that you will all take part in. Each will end with the most serious consequence of all for one person."

Unfortunately for the poor people selected this week, they will not exit to the normal fanfare of a hyped-up crowd and electric atmosphere.

Instead, they'll simply walk out of the house where they'll be interviewed by Big Brother's Bit On The Side presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.

Big Brother's 12 remaining housemates are: Alex Cannon, Andy West, Chelsea Singh, Evelyn Ellis, Hughie Maughan, Jackson Blyton, Jason Burrill, Jayne Connery, Lateysha Grace, Laura Carter, Ryan Ruckledge and Sam Giffen.

On Friday, Charlie Doherty became the fourth housemate to be evicted.
