First series of new Top Gear comes to an end - so what do we think?


The first series of the revamped Top Gear has come to an end, and sadly it hasn't really silenced its critics.

The BBC Two motoring show faced a barrage of criticism - and tumbling ratings - after it returned in May with Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans behind the wheel, with many of the bad reviews levelled at Chris.

It has turned a corner over the series, with the audience appreciating both the content and former Friends star Matt, who is going down a storm.

But it seems Chris just hasn't managed to win the viewers over.

Some fans seem to think Top Gear will be scrapped.

And a couple are even asking for it to be put out of its misery.

One thing is for sure, if Top Gear returns for a second season with Matt and Chris at the helm, the radio host might want to rethink his wardrobe...
