Selena Gomez broke down in tears as she dedicated a song to her late friend Christina Grimmie.
The pop princess was close pals with The Voice star Christina, who was shot and killed while signing autographs after a concert in Orlando, Florida on Friday night.
She dedicated her performance of the song Transfiguration to 22-year-old Christina as she took to the stage in the US for her Revival Tour.
Struggling to contain her emotions, Selena said: "One thing about Christina and her family is that she holds her faith so closely to her. I think it's not about a religion and it's not about good deeds. I think she just had faith and I don't really understand how this really happened, but I would like to dedicate this song to her."
Earlier, Selena told of her heartbreak in a tweet to fans.
Selena's stepfather Brian Teefey was Christina's manager.
He has set up a GoFundMe page for her family, and told of his devastation over the singer's death.

Kevin James Loibl, 27, was named by police as the man who shot the singer minutes after she came off stage at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida, in the early hours of Saturday, UK time.
Her brother Marcus tackled Loibl, who shot himself dead in the scuffle, local police said. The killer, who was carrying two guns, was from St Petersburg, near Tampa, more than 100 miles from Orlando.
