James Corden is joined by a host of Broadway stars for Carpool Karaoke

James Corden was joined by a quartet of stage stars on Carpool Karaoke as he prepares to host this year's Tony Awards.

The British funnyman sang a string of show tunes as he drove in New York with Hamilton's creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and fellow performers Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane Krakowski.

Hamilton, a musical about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, is nominated for a record 16 Tony awards at the ceremony, which James is presenting for the first time on Sunday.

The Late Late Show presenter started his car journey by singing Alexander Hamilton with Lin-Manuel before the pair performed the fast-paced lyrics of Guns and Ships.

After the other musical stars jumped in the car, the newly-formed five-piece performed Seasons of Love from Rent, Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons from Jersey Boys and One Day More from Les Miserables.
