Just over two years ago, Bobby killed his sister Lucy. Her body was found on Walford Common.

The live 30th anniversary episode in February 2015 stunned viewers when Bobby was revealed as the murderer.

His stepmother Jane (Laurie Brett) had done her utmost to protect him after finding Lucy's dead body in the family home. She moved the body to the common in a desperate attempt to fool police into thinking her death was as the result of a fatal mugging.

But last Christmas, Bobby had admitted the truth.

However, his admission came too late for Max Branning (Jake Wood) who had been sleeping with Lucy. An ostracised Max was wrongly convicted of her murder and is serving a prison sentence.

Bobby's trial is sure to change everything for the Beales and Brannings in BBC One's long-running soap.

The scenes in this episode of EastEnders will be broadcast on June 16.
