Updated:

Former Glee star Mark Salling has pleaded not guilty to child pornography charges.

The actor appeared at a Los Angeles court charged with using the internet to obtain a pornographic still image and video of young girls. He also faces a second count of possessing two other child porn videos that featured young girls.

Salling, who played bad-boy Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the television series, was arrested last December after Los Angeles police officers seized a laptop, hard drive and flash drive which allegedly contained images and videos depicting child pornography.

The 33 year old was released on bail after posting 150,000 dollars with the court.

His bail conditions include that he must not use the internet without permission from federal officials.

Salling will no longer appear in the HBO drama Gods And Secrets after the director Adi Shanker released a statement saying the programme would be "moving forward without Mark Salling" and his scenes would be re-shot.
