Bafta-winning comedy Peter Kay's Car Share will be returning for a second series.
Peter Kay and Sian Gibson will be back next year to continue their partnership as John and Kayleigh, two colleagues who were brought together on their journey to work on a company car share scheme. It is set entirely in John's car.
The show, which premiered exclusively on BBC iPlayer last year before it aired on BBC One, won best scripted comedy at the Bafta television awards.
It shot to success, becoming the most-watched new sitcom since 2011.
Peter said: "What a joy to be working on the second series of Car Share with the wonderful Sian Gibson. The success of the first series has been completely overwhelming."
Series one saw chemistry grow between John and Kayleigh, with the soundtrack to their friendship sealed with a mix CD. Fans will find out what has become of their blossoming relationship.
Sian said: "I'm really excited that Car Share is coming back. We had so much fun making the first series and I can't wait to be Kayleigh Kitson again."
The show will be back for four 30-minute episodes in 2017.
