The Chase host Bradley Walsh will front a new daytime quiz show which will hold hostage the contestants' cash until someone wins.
Bradley created the format, called Cash Trapped, in which six contestants will battle it out against each other in four quick-fire question rounds.
At the end of the show, the player with the most money will take on the other five for the chance to take home everyone's winnings.
But if that player fails to beat the other contestants, then all their cash will remain trapped and the contestants and prize pot will roll over into the next episode. No one can leave until the cash is won.
Bradley has hosted The Chase since 2009, where players go up against the mighty brain power of the show's Chasers to win money.
The entertainment company behind the new format, Possessed, is responsible for shows including The Mole, Cash Cab and Beauty and the Geek, plus its managing director Glenn Hugill is reportedly the voice of the banker on Deal or No Deal.
Cash Trapped will begin airing later this year.
