Countryfile triggered a debate with a segment on the National Living Wage and how it will affect UK farmers.
Presenter Tom Heap chatted to farmers about their worries that the new wage of £7.20 for over 25s will have a negative impact on their businesses, particularly as growers in countries such as Spain pay just £3 an hour.

Yes I would pay more for British produce #countryfile. Supermarkets use customers as the excuse for cheap food. Not in my name
