Britain's Got Talent has long had a reputation for being the TV show where anything goes, and so it proved once again.
This time, viewers were treated to Davros, the creator of the Daleks in Doctor Who. Or, rather, The Deep Space Deviants, also known as Paul Dolman, 47, from Lancashire.
"I am the arch enemy of Doctor Who, and I'm here to entertain you," he said.
A cover of Love Shack by The B-52s promptly followed, with a dash of River Dance thrown in for no apparent reason. But three yeses were enough for The Deep Space Deviants to progress to the next round, much to the bemusement of fans commentating on social media.
A dude dressed up as uncle Fester almost in a Dalek costume with a policeman beside them? Right okay ? #BritainsGotTalent

Forget anything the Dr Who writers could come up with, seeing a guy dress as Davros singing Love Shack is pure terror #BritainsGotTalent

If Davros takes over the world I'll never be able to take him seriously after this... #BritainsGotTalent
