The first Monday in May is Met Gala Monday and it seems that this year every hotel room in New York was filled with a fashionista and her glam squad getting ready to face the cameras.

Walking up the steps to the Metropolitan Museum of Art is like walking one long catwalk so a lot of prep has to go on behind the scenes.

She captioned the pic, "Met prep."

Kendall Jenner looked serene in front of her grooming station, before making a red carpet splash in Versace.

Kate Upton, who announced her engagement on the red carpet, didn't seem too worried about wrinkling her dress as she cuddled up to her dog before setting off.

She even shared a video of a pre-red carpet impromptu haircut.

Kate Hudson knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day and shared this pic of her feast

FKA Twigs showed it takes a village to get red-carpet ready with this all-hands-on-deck snap.

But sometimes you have to do your own mascara. Right Emma Roberts?

Lara Stone captioned this shot: "no pain, no gain."

But she clearly perked up a bit for this bathroom sing-song.
