From Star Wars to Melissa McCarthy, here's everyone who won at the MTV Movie Awards

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the big winner of the night at the MTV Movie Awards, picking up a total of three gongs and the biggest award of the evening.

Episode VII picked up movie of the year, as well as best breakthrough performance for Daisy Ridley - who beat her own co-star John Boyega - and best villain for Adam Driver, AKA Kylo Ren.

Deadpool and Pitch Perfect 2 proved popular winners, with Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine delightfully recreating their sloppy kiss on stage for audiences at home.

In other big news, Ghostbusters star Melissa McCarthy became the first woman to win the comedic genius award, quipping that she was "certainly not the first one to deserve it".

And of course, unofficial winner of best dance of the night goes to Jaden Smith.
