Sharon Osbourne has opened up about her life-long struggle with weight gain.
The wife of rock star Ozzy Osbourne revealed she would drink alcohol which would 'relax her stomach', allowing her to eat what she wanted despite undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 1999 to limit her food intake.
'I would look at food and I didn't have to eat it and I would put on weight,' said the 62-year-old star. 'So I've always struggled with my weight.
'I've tried every diet in the world and even had a (gastric) band put on my stomach that I eventually had to have removed.
'It's the easiest thing in the world because you have a drink and it relaxes your stomach and you can eat whatever you want.
'I used to be 235 lbs, so I was a big lady. I kept it (the weight) off for 10 years with the band. But it turns around on you. The band is a foreign object. It slips, it moves around. There is no quick fix.'
