There will be something like 2,000 performances at 50 or so venues. Music on the main stages runs from around 11am each morning until 00:30 on the Friday and Saturday and midnight on the Sunday (longer stage running times than just about every other festival), with entertainment on some of the smaller stages running later (until 6am in Shangri-La).
There are a couple of very important World Cup games during the 2010 Festival. So, if you can't live without your fix of footie, the game on the Wednesday night will be shown on the Pyramid Stage screens.
U2 were set to headline the Pyramid Stage but have had to pull out. Gorillaz have now stepped into the breach. The mighty Muse headline on Saturday with Stevie Wonder on Sunday. There is also Dizzee Rascal, Vampire Weekend, Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Orbital, Pet Shop Boys, Scissor Sisters, Seasick Steve, Jackson Browne, Faithless, Jack Johnson, Ray Davies, Slash, The Flaming Lips, Hot Chip, Florence And The Machine, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, Groove Armada, Jamie T, Ash, The xx, Midlake, Empire Of The Sun, New Model Army, Lightning Seeds, Gomez, Sasha, Fatboy Slim, N-Dubz, Levellers, Boys Noize, Simian Mobile Disco, Delphic, Curved Air, Kelis and much more besides.
There are plenty of places to camp at the festival and you will be guided by the stewards on arrival. If you haven't remembered everything you need for your comfort then don't stress, there is a stall at the festival for almost everything and you will be able to purchase any accessories you need.
You may return to your tent late at night a little the worse for wear so don't forget where you pitched up. There'll be thousands of identical looking tents so try and make yours look slightly different with a flag or banner.
This year more camping space has been created around the Bushy Ground area. There is also a family camping site on the Wicket ground.
