Cat invades pitch at Hillsborough

A cat invaded the field at Hillsborough in Sheffield on February 8, temporarily holding up play and forcing players to intervene.

Two players chased the cat from the field before a Wigan player gently picked up the feline and removed it from play.

“That’s a new time-wasting tactic,” commented Owen Barnard, who filmed this video of the incident.

Wednesday won the League One match 1-0.
