McLaren has unveiled its beautiful new 570S Spider.
As with the standard 570S, this convertible version comes with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 562bhp and 600Nm of torque.
These combine to propel the car from 0-60mph in an astonishing three seconds and on to a top speed of 196mph.
On the outside, the 570S is covered in carbon-fibre touches – from the air-blades on the front bumper to the rear wing, the lightweight material is a predominant feature on this car.
Aldo, once the roof is down, those buttresses at the rear seem to rise up from the engine cover, outlining the two seats inside the cabin.
Inside and the carbon theme continues, with layers of it all across the dash along with Alcantara and your choice of various leather colours – all making the interior look highly premium.
The roof itself is simple but very effective. A two-piece hardtop roof, it folds away very neatly in a compartment behind the driver and passenger,
Following on from the success of the 720S launch model, the 570S Spider will have a special launch edition made up of the first 400 cars made.
Mike Flewitt, CEO of McLaren Automotive, said: "The McLaren 570S Spider is the most attainable McLaren Spider to date and adds yet another dimension to the McLaren Sports Series family.
"This is a convertible without compromise; its mid-engine layout and carbon-fibre MonoCell II chassis guarantee the same thrilling dynamic performance and exceptional driver involvement enjoyed in a 570S Coupé, but with the added attraction of a retractable hard-top that delivers the extra exhilaration of roof-down motoring."
The 570S Spider is available to order now and costs from £164,750.
