A businessman managed to turn a loo into a public inconvenience by crashing his Porsche into it.
Deputy Lord Lieutenant John Thurston, the 71-year-old boss of Watts Tyre Group, smashed down a small wall and embedded his Porsche Cayman into a disused public toilet building.
According to the driver, the car "lurched forward" as he pulled out of the Watts Group headquarters on Bream Road in Lydney near Gloucester, and it beached itself on the remains on the small wall it took out.
According to reports, the vehicle shot across both lanes of the road and crashed into the wall.
The driver and his wife Mary, 59, were thankfully both unhurt in the collision that took place last Sunday (25 September), although the road was closed for a short while.
