2019 Ford Mustang Shelby 'most powerful street legal Ford ever'

Business Insider reports that Ford unveiled the 2019 Mustang at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday.

According to Ford, the new Mustang Shelby GT500 is the 'most powerful street-legal Ford ever.'

The muscle car features a handmade 5.2-liter V8, that packs a whopping 700 horsepower and goes from 0 to 60 mph in the mid-three-seconds range.

The Ford Shelby line is named in honor of Carroll Shelby, the racing legend who secured Ford's historic win over Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966.
