Accused Parsons Green bomber scrawled 'bored' on bedroom door, court told

The word "bored" was scrawled in accused Parsons Green bomber Ahmed Hassan's bedroom, a court has heard.

Officers searching the media student's foster home in Sunbury, Surrey, discovered the back of Hassan's bedroom door had the same word written on it repeatedly.

A bottle of hydrogen peroxide he allegedly used to make the bomb was also found on his wardrobe, jurors were told.

And under his bed were stashed parts of a Maplin soldering kit, the Old Bailey heard.

Counter terrorism officer Detective Constable Matt Rogers described what officers found at the house in Cavendish Road.

They searched the house once Hassan, 18, was arrested at Dover the day after the explosion on the District Line in September last year.

He told jurors how officers had retrieved bags from behind a wicker sofa in a conservatory containing Hassan's DNA.

Contents included a ruler and Tesco Club Card in Hassan's name which were found to have traces of TATP explosives on them.

A box of nuts, bolts and screwdrivers were seized along with three tubes of fake blood and a blue vase, jurors heard.

Hassan denies attempted murder and using the chemical compound TATP to cause an explosion that was likely to endanger life.
