Peugeot unveils all-new 508

It certainly has far more of a coupe profile than before, adopting a similar principle to the sloping rear that the Audi A5 Sportback has. It's also a hatchback now, too, as opposed to the old model's saloon boot.
Highlights include new LED 'claw -effect' rear lights as well as the latest version of Peugeot's driver focused infotainment system. It also comes with a large 10-inch touchscreen angled towards the driver, as well as i-Cockpit Amplify that allows the driver to choose between two levels of ambiance – 'boost' and 'relax'.
Peugeot has said that six engines will be available (both petrol and diesel ) between 128bhp and 222bhp, with both manual and automatic transmissions.
It also comes with numerous safety systems, including infrared cameras to help aid visibility at night, while also featuring pedestrian detection technology.
Jean-Phillipe Imparato, CEO of Peugeot, said: "The all-new Peugeot 508 is finally here. After the success of our latest high profile launches and our SUV offensive with the multi-award winning Peugeot 2008, 3008 and all-new 5008, with the all-new Peugeot 508 we carry the exact same ambition; to shake up the market with an outstanding new car that can compete with the best."
The new 508 will be available to order from summer 2018.
