Ten must-see TV highlights for the week ahead

2. Old Peoples Home for 4 Year Olds: Christmas - Monday 18 December at 9pm on Channel 4

Loneliness and isolation is a big issue at this time of year which offers a poignancy to this touching show. Elderly residents including Zina, Pat and Hamish are reunited with their young friends such as Nelson, Millie and Eva, and we discover how participating in the full series earlier this year has changed their lives.

3. Birds Of A Feather Monday 18 December at 9pm on ITV

4. Jennifer & Joanna: Absolutely Champers - Thursday 21 December at 9pm on BBC Two

Jennifer Saunders reunites with her 'Absolutely Fabulous' co-star Joanna Lumley for a travel doc about Eddy and Patsy's favourite drink. The pair head to France to learn all about Champagne and quaff a few glasses along the way. A ray of sunshine for a cold Thursday evening!

5. Everton v Chelsea and Leicester City v Manchester Utd - Saturday 23 December from 12:30pm on Sky Sports Premier League

Sky Sports viewers can enjoy two eye-catching fixtures live this Saturday. The Toffees new manager Sam Allardyce is likely to put top sides such as Chelsea in some sticky situations when they come to Goodison Park. See how the defending champions tackle this tough trip north. Following this, Manchester United take on Leicester in the evening kick-off. With Riyad Mahrez in fine form, Mourinho's men will have to be at their best to come away from King Power Stadium with a win.

No longer on 'Bake Off', this cheery trio reunite to bring some Yuletide cheer to an area of the UK that's experienced tough times. Mary is creating a spectacular Christmas dinner, while Mel and Sue put on an awesome party.
