Strictly winner Joe McFadden looking forward to sleeping after win

Strictly Come Dancing champion Joe McFadden has revealed he is 'unemployed' after his weekend triumph.

The Scottish actor was recently killed off Holby City and has even more free time now the BBC dance show has ended.

McFadden beat Debbie McGee, Alexandra Burke and Gemma Arterton to the glitterball trophy with his partner Katya Jones on Saturday.

Speaking on Lorraine on Monday, he said: "I'm looking forward to having a rest and not dancing for a while.

"Now that I've finished Holby it would be nice to try on some different hats and see if I can be other characters, and that was the nice thing about Strictly, not having to be a surgeon on Holby for a while."
