Couple enjoy picnic on 400m cliff edge

A couple have been pictured enjoying a romantic picnic on the edge of a 400m high cliff.

The amazing photo shows two daredevils sitting without a care in the world, clearly enjoying the views and not taking in to account the huge drop below them.

Photographer Michael Buddle, 48, spotted the couple whilst rock climbing in the Verdon Gorge, South of France.

Michael, from Cheshire said: "I was rock climbing when I just spotted this couple enjoying a picnic.

"They were perched up right by the cliff edge, and it must have been a quarter of a mile length drop as well.

"I thought it was amazing that they were up there, I couldn't believe it so I just took out my camera straight away.

"I don't know if I'd have a picnic on a cliff edge, but it did look fun."
