Claudia Winkleman has leaped to the defence of her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Shirley Ballas.

Ballas poked fun at the TV host's 'bad posture' as she did a dance demonstration on Sunday night's results show.

Many viewers took to social media to accuse the new head judge of being 'rude' to Winkleman.

However, the TV presenter took to Twitter following the episode, writing: "I absolutely love @ShirleyBallas - we were laughing throughout. X."

Replying to one viewer, Ballas said: "Not rude at all Jackie. Everything is in good fun. Obviously you need a sense of humour. Enjoy.

"Claudia has an amazing sense of humor. I've been called worse."

Sunday's episode saw Simon Rimmer and his partner Karen Clifton leave the show after a dance-off with Mollie King and AJ Pritchard.
