Aston Martin creates Tom Brady Signature Edition Vanquish S Volante
American football legend Tom Brady has been in cahoots with Aston Martin for a very special car. Named the Tom Brady Signature Edition, it's a limited-run version of the beautiful Vanquish S Volante, and Aston Martin says it matches with Brady's 'natural athletic performance'.
The basic formula remains the same as always – which means a naturally aspirated V12 engine with 580bhp.
However, over the top sits a makeover by Aston Martin's bespoke Q division – responsible for customising the cars to owners' exact specifications. Previous efforts by the company have included a Le Mans-inspired Vanquish Volante, 'Socal Lifestyle' DB9, and the amazing CC100 roadster.
Brady has specified an Ultramarine Black exterior colour and 'Dark Knight' leather for his Signature Edition.
The car is 'focused on performance' and as such uses extensive carbon fibre and 'other performance materials', says Aston Martin. But there are luxury touches too – leather coverings for the paddle shift tips and a colour-keyed steering wheel pulled from the incredible One-77.
To tie in with Brady, each car carries his signature on the sill plates, and has his own 'TB12' logo as a badge on the wing, embossed on the headrests and as a pull tab in the rear of the car.
The Tom Brady Signature Edition is limited to just 12 examples, as a reference to Brady's number 12 jersey number. First deliveries of the car are expected in early 2018.
