Aston Martin reveals spectacular Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake

Aston Martin's partnership with bespoke coachbuilders goes back a long way, and none further than Italian design house Zagato. The two brands have now revealed the fruits of their latest collaboration – a four-model line-up of Vanquish special editions, named the Zagato Speedster, Coupe, Volante and Shooting Brake.

The Shooting Brake was the last to be revealed in full, and today's images show it's every bit as spectacular as its siblings. Limited to just 99 models, it features a lengthened rear deck providing enough luggage space for a full-on European tour. In a bespoke, tailor-made luggage set, no less.

However, this is no humble estate car, and a flowing rear end and double-bubble roof separate it from humbler vehicles. Zagato's trademark rear lights feature, set deeply into raised rear haunches – and a triangular glass roof is a unique touch, even in the ultra-exclusive supercar sector.

Under the skin, all four Zagato models are identical – featuring a naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine with around 580bhp. It's mated to an eight-speed automatic, making the powertrain identical to that found in the standard Vanquish S.

Aston has not released any photos of the interior, though it's likely to be similar to the standard car.

With just 325 Zagato models available in total – 99 each of Coupe, Volante and Shooting Brake, and 28 Speedsters – the cars were in such high demand that the range is already entirely sold out.
