A raging wildfire burnt 8,200 acres in California's Yuba County, spreading at an estimated 1,000 acres per hour.

Jerry Brown issued an emergency proclamation on Monday for Napa, Sonoma, and Yuba counties and estimated at least 1,500 homes and commercial buildings were destroyed in the blaze, which has been dubbed the Cascade Fire.
