THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED

We've teamed up with the Alton Towers Resort to offer you the chance to win an overnight stay for up to four people (two adults and two children) during Scarefest, staying in a woodland lodge, Alton Towers Hotel or Splash Landings Hotel, with breakfast and access to the theme park and waterpark thrown in.

Scarefest, the UK's biggest and best Halloween event with spooks, frights and thrills for everyone is returning to Alton Towers Resort for 2017, promising to bring more scares than ever before, with the introduction of a brand new Scare Maze – The Welcoming: Be Chosen.

The woods surrounding the village of Alton harbour a mysterious group which, until recent sightings, were unseen by the modern world. Whispers around the village say that the group are angered by people abusing the world's natural resources and the rapid advance of technology. Every year, they host a festival to celebrate their own interpretation of Halloween, paying homage to the earth and celebrating the crossover between the living world and the dead. They recently infiltrated the Alton Towers Resort and for the first time are allowing outsiders to celebrate with them. But what part will you ('the outsiders') play in this ritual?

The Welcoming: Be Chosen joins a line-up of scare mazes including Sub Species: The End Games, Altonville Mine Tours and Terror Of Towers, guaranteed to bring spine-tingling terror to even the bravest visitor. Youngsters can adventure inside The House Of Monsters, and join an online vlogger as he discovers a host of 21st century ghouls, with a few frights along the way!

Little ones don't miss out on the Halloween fun either as the park's own cast of silly spooks - Franklyn, Phil, Patch and Skelvin - perform live shows all day long, including a fancy dress competition, while the legendary Alton Ancestors have risen once more to perform an energetic flashmob throughout the day.

Throughout Scarefest, the Theme Park opens until 9pm, meaning the added thrill of experiencing the iconic rides and attractions in the dark. Scarefest takes place on 7, 8, 14, 15 and 20 to 31 October 2017.

For your chance to win this Halloween break for four, submit your details in the form below before 26 September 2017.
